Global minds feed efforts to end hunger
Conference highlights need to accelerate end to poverty
Ending hunger by 2030 is part of the United Nations’ global agenda, and the world is coming to the table at a conference in Thailand this week to find solutions to accelerating that plan.
“If we can’t end hunger and malnutrition by 2030, then we won’t be able to achieve any other goals,” explains Shenggen Fan, director general, International Food Policy Research Institute, explaining the need the Accelerating the End of Hunger and Malnutrition conference, which runs from Nov. 28 to 30.
The goal is to unite corporations, government, research organizations and civil societies to find solutions to challenges slowing the process to end hunger.
Christian Children’s Fund of Canada believes in the power of working with civil-society organizations, governments and partners to make positive lasting change.
