How early, forced marriage can change a young life so quickly

As girls in Canada adjust to back-to-school, 14-year-old teens like Wanyilem in Ghana worry about being forced into child marriage.
“My brother came from Nigeria and said he will use me for an exchange. And, my mother said he should not, but he refused and made them come and force me away,” shares the schoolgirl, who was since rescued from the marriage through Christian Children’s Fund of Canada’s sponsorship program.
