Girl tells her story about life after Syria
Find out how one youth is using her voice to make an impact
Every child’s voice deserves to be heard, and that is what one teen hopes to achieve through her book, Once Upon a Time.
“Once upon a time is the opener of many stories with happy endings. Yet our story is not one of them,” begins the Syrian refugee. She continues: “My message to the adults is that they should think of us before they act.”
At Christian Children’s Fund of Canada, we believe in the right of every child to express their opinion and be heard. This right is enshrined in Article 12 of the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child.
