How children around the world get to school
Watch this UNESCO video to see the lengths children around the world go to get an education
The journey to school shouldn’t be difficult, but for many children it’s a dangerous trek through a war zone, a treacherous commute on a boat or a long walk along a dusty road in the blazing heat — it’s all shown in the UNESCO video below.
“These children want an education. Poverty, gender, natural hazards, conflict or ethnicity should not stand in the way,” notes the narrator.
Christian Children’s Fund of Canada is committed to ensuring children go to school and stay in school. Whether renovating a school in a rural town in Ethiopia to accommodate more students or providing bikes to ride to school in Ghana, our goal is to ensure children have the chance to reach their full potential.
