International Woman’s Day is about more than women’s rights, it’s about child rights, too
Today marks the 108th annual observance of International Women’s Day. It’s a good time to remember the young women who are forced into child marriages — there’s one every two seconds, according to the latest reports.
Thanks to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, 193 countries have committed to eradicating child marriage by 2030. This is an ambitious — and critical — target, and CCFC is committed to creating programs to address the issue.
