How CCFC is helping prevent child marriage in India
Watch this video to see the life-changing impact of donations
What is a village like for girls before Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) begins working there? That was the question Bonar Bell, CCFC communications manager, asked on a recent program visit to India. Now, he’s sharing what he learned in an eye-opening video.
“Nearly half of girls in India are married before the age of 18, with one in five being married before they are only 15,” explains Bell. “We met women in many communities who had been married at a young age — some as young as 12, many to their own family members.”
But, that isn’t the end of the story. Take a moment to watch the video and see the transformations that are possible thanks to CCFC donors.
