PARAGUAY — A Christian Children’s Fund of Canada donor and his guide dog just returned from a whirlwind trip to Paraguay.
Sean Madsen, a visually impaired donor, took the trip to meet his sponsored child, Marcos, and gained a new understanding of how his sponsorship is making a difference. “The fact that that child can get an education and learn to read and write, go through school, get [a] job and better themselves in ways they never would have an opportunity to do without a sponsor — that sponsor, through that one child, is changing the world,” he said.
The committed donor travelled to Paraguay to show Marcos anything is possible if you put your mind to it, and he left jumpstarting an important conversation about accessibility in the South American country.
You, too, can have an impact in the life of a child. Watch this video to see how sponsorship has made the difference in the sponsor and sponsored child’s life.
