Homemade toys bring joy to children in Ethiopia
Watch children benefit from a Learning Through Play initiative launched by CCFC
ETHIOPIA — A new energy has been breathed into rural communities in Ethiopia where parents are learning to expand their children’s minds through play.
Sharon Caddy, journalist and Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) ambassador, travelled to rural communities to see how parents are learning the benefits of playing with their children. “The experience has been absolutely amazing. There’s nothing like the joy I felt seeing these kids playing with the toys made right here with things they have on hand locally,” she said.
Watch to see how children in rural Ethiopia are learning and engaging through play in a way their parents never did.
