Dr. Robert G. Blunden
Past Chair, Christian Children's Fund of Canada (CCFC) Board of Directors
Dr. Robert Blunden served as the last Chair of the Christian Children's Fund of Canada's Board of Directors. He served as Vice Chair from 2010 to 2011 and Treasurer from 2005-2010. Currently he is Chair of the Nominating Committee.
Dr. Blunden is an Associate Professor at the School of Business Administration, Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His research interests include new venture performance, exit strategies, and family business. His teaching interests are in strategic management and family business; especially in developing the common ground between these areas and in the application of strategic management to small business, entrepreneurial and family business contexts. His teaching style is based on the case method; he is an active case writer. His international teaching, consulting and research activities have taken him to China, Latvia, Russia, Jamaica and Hungary. His consulting activities focus on strategic planning and strategy implementation for family-owned and other organizations.
Dr. Blunden holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University and a PhD from The University of Western Ontario.
