Director, Christian Children's Fund of Canada (CCFC) Board of Directors
Gabriel Ollivier was elected to the Board of Directors of CCFC in December 2014. Currently he is the Treasurer and Member of the Marketing Committee. His 25-year career has been spent in Canada’s oil and gas industry and the Canadian capital markets. He is currently the President of Equus Energy Advisors Inc., a consulting practice that focuses on assisting international oil and gas companies on various matters of business, ranging from strategy to economic and technical evaluation, government and partner relations, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Ollivier was the President of UNX Energy Corp., an international oil and gas company with operations in Namibia, which was sold in 2011. He spent the bulk of the prior decade as a Director or Managing Director at two Canadian investment banks where he advised institutional investors on energy or resource-themed investment. Previously, he held various intermediate and senior financial roles in Calgary’s energy sector.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ollivier has been an active volunteer and/or board member for several not-for-profit enterprises, including the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, The Order of Good Cheer, Holy Name Church, and the 403 Selects Volleyball Club. Mr. Ollivier holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Economics degree from the University of Calgary, and is also a Charter Financial Analyst (“CFA”) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (“CPA”).
