Karen Fonseth, ICD.D was elected to the CCFC Board of Directors in June 2016.

Karen is Chief Executive Officer of DASCH Inc., one of Canada’s largest nonprofit organizations delivering residential and outreach programs for children and adults with a range of developmental disabilities.

Karen’s career has been dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults both nationally and globally over the past 25 years at a senior executive level. She is a recognized expert in the nonprofit sector specializing in rebuilding and restructuring stagnant and struggling organizations to their viability, growth and sustainability.

Currently Karen is National Chair of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation of Canada and a Director at Safe Haven Foundation. She is a past National Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada, past President of Big Brothers and Sisters of Winnipeg and former Executive Director at Starlight Foundation of Ontario.

In 2015 Karen graduated from the GMP, Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. Karen was recognized and awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal of Honor in 2013 for her contribution toward benefitting the lives of Canadians in the Province of Manitoba and Canada.
