While we appreciate a sponsor's desire to provide for their sponsored child, we request that sponsors do not send parcels to their children either directly or through CCFC. The high costs of shipping and administration are prohibitive and most parcels are almost impossible to track in-country. Our country offices are not able to follow-up on any parcels. Please note that any parcels received in our Markham office will be returned to you and we regret we will not be able to assist you with inquiries about parcels sent directly to children.

As an alternative to a parcel, may we suggest enclosing items such as stickers, pictures of yourself and family, musical greeting cards, or colourful pictures from magazines with your correspondence. All correspondence should be sent directly to the child. The child's mailing address is provided in the Sponsorship Kit.

A safer way to ensure that a special gift is received is to send a monetary gift for the child, the child's family, or the program through our Markham office. The child, family, or program will receive the entire amount you send (minus a small percentage to cover administration and processing costs), along with the instructions for its use. When sending your gift, please provide us with instructions for processing, for example: $10.00 for birthday. We do not recommend sending monetary gifts in excess of $30.00 (CAD).
