It’s estimated that there are 25 million orphans living in India. With each passing day this number continues to grow.
Throughout many urban centres like Kolkata, one of India’s largest cities, it’s not uncommon to find children wandering the streets fending for themselves, struggling to survive.
A recent Planned Gift made to CCFC by an anonymous CCFC supporter will fund a short-stay home specifically built for these orphaned, abandoned or abused children. This short-stay home will help these children escape the dangers of living on the streets and give them access to food, shelter and a safe environment.
The short stay house hosts a study room, washrooms, a library, a kitchen, a common area, and dining room. As part of the building plans, solar panels will be placed on the roof to power the building, as electricity is not available in this area.
These abandoned children will now have a place to call home; a place where they can live out their childhood and not have to worry about struggling to survive.
Through the generosity of our supporters, we are committed to providing shelter, comfort, safety and security for orphaned children.
