CCFC's health programs give children a fighting chance against desperate odds of survival. Many childhood illnesses manifest themselves even before a baby is born.

With the help of our sponsors and donors, our focus on healthcare, vaccinations and medical treatment for various diseases has helped thousands of children escape an early death sentence.

As part of the CCFC healthcare program, Nicaragua Country Director, Jorge Hernandez in coordination with Freddy González, a member of a Nicaraguan Church, Cristo de Nicaragua, encouraged Project HOPE, a group of volunteer doctors to visit CCFC program, Los Pipitos. This was the second consecutive year Project HOPE examined and treated CCFC sponsored families who otherwise could not afford medical treatment.

During the recent clinic, leading Physcian, Dr. Larry White along with three North American Doctors and three Nicaraguan Doctors attended to 500 CCFC sponsored children with disabilities. As part of the clinic these children received free medical check ups, eye exams, reading glasses, dental cleaning, dental treatments, and free medication from the medical team of Project HOPE.

In a recent interview Dr. Larry White was quoted as saying “it is such an encouraging experience to keep working for needy people in Nicaragua, Project HOPE will be visiting other communities such as San Juan de Oriente, Catarina, Quinta Nina, and Villa Reconciliacion among others."
