A representative of the Regional Education Directorate of Education, Hajia Agnes Ali, commended CCFC for their efforts, saying girls usually stay home doing household chores while others travel incredible distances to school. Therefore the bicycles will encourage girls to stay in school.
Program Coordinator Eric Chimsi, of Presbyterian Farmers Training and Child Development Program, a CCFC partner organization, thanked CCFC and Canadians for the donations. The donated items will go towards assisting girls getting to school and receiving a proper eduation once they are there.
