Learning Through Play (LTP) activities in Paraguay have included training and planning workshops. LTP materials, calendars and flip charts were translated into Spanish and Guarani and Early Stimulation and puppets are being utilitzed to make training sessions more interesting and dynamic.
CCFC Paraguay engaged in efforts to publicize the LTP program among local partners and the media. CCFC invited representatives of its own local partners, other NGO's and the Ministry of Education to the training workshop. Agreements with nursery schools have been made to provide Early Childhood Education classes.
LTP Project implementers visit families, door to door to follow up on the progress of the project. Each community has a slightly different methodology to implement the project. One such example is the use of small groups of parents to multiply the knowledge based on experience.
Parents have initiated a discussion about the importance of the Early Stimulation in the development of their children’s lives. Also they realized that this phase of their children’s lives is very important in securing a better future. Parents attend monthly workshops, as a result, this has raised awareness of the importance of the role of parenthood. The results of early childhood stimulation activities are apparent in the children’s physical appearance and in their emotional behaviour.
