With more than 50 years experience, Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) has built a name as responsible development agency caring for children.

Your trust is important to us. Our programs and finances are managed by professionals, and our reliability is evident in the results we achieve year after year. Integrity and transparency are essential to the way we work as an organization. We invite you to review our annual financial statement and our third party control and accountability mechanisms. We also invite you to review our programming information. Our program accountability, in combination with our fiscal integrity, is a powerful force in changing children’s lives.

Internal

  1. Random and scheduled financial audits of all programs by a full time Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) designation is the only globally accepted certification for internal auditors.
  2. Regular field monitoring visits by Canadian program staff to our projects to ensure their effectiveness.
  3. Regular verifiable reports from the field.
  4. Financial and organizational management oversight through the CEO by a volunteer board of directors.
  5. Review by Canadian Volunteer Audit Committee.
  6. Employment of a full time Canadian Chartered Accountant.

External

  1. Member of the Central Ontario BBB
  2. Canada Revenue Agency Registered Charity under the Income Tax Act.
  3. CCFC abides by the standards set by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
  4. Annual third party audit by Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP.
  5. Member of the Canadian Marketing Association and abide by it’s fund-raising policies.
  6. Signatory to fundraising principles set by Imagine Canada (formally known as Canadian Centre for Philanthropy).
  7. Approved, year after year to receive the Seal of Accountability from the Canadian Council of Christian Charities. (CCCC)
  8. Member in good standing with the ChildFund Alliance and its code of ethics.
  9. Abide by fund raising standards set by our membership in of Ontario Council for International Cooperation.
  10. We abide by the Canada Revenue agency directives for charities.
  11. CCFC Canada provides a charitable tax receipt for all gifts over $10.

By adhering to the standards and regulations set out by these reputable third parties, CCFC continues to be endorsed as one of the most effective and accountable charities in Canada.

Allocation of Program Resources Sustainable Livelihood Development - CCFC works with community members to explore long-term and sustainable methods to generate an income. CCFC provides small business loans to entrepreneurs as well as vocational training programs to help individuals reach their dreams and support their families. Strengthening Community Organizations - CCFC builds community groups, advocates for children's rights, and supports grassroots initiatives to enable communities to work together and achieve results for their future. Water Sanitation and Hygiene - CCFC builds clean water provisions like rainwater harvesting tanks and wells, constructs sanitation facilities, and trains community members on proper hygiene practices. Health and Nutrition - CCFC provides access to basic medical care, distributes vitamins and medicine, and runs educational health workshops such as HIV/AIDS prevention. Education - CCFC improves school infrastructure and equips students and teachers with the resources to gain an education.
