Christian Children's Fund of Canada is currently recruiting for the following position:
Director, Supporter Relations and Sponsorship Management
Reporting to the Vice-President of Global Operations and as a senior member of the Global Operations
team the Director, Supporter Relations and Sponsorship Management will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of a highly effective strategy and team aimed at motivating our existing
supporters (donors) to fulfill their existing donor commitments as well as introducing new opportunities
to support our work through further donations. The Director will oversee a customer service team. The
Director will also be responsible for establishing, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of our
customer service standards in order to achieve our desire to provide an excellent philanthropic
experience for our supporter community. Further, as one of our main channels of support is through the sponsorship of children, the Director will
also be accountable for the development and execution of a highly effective and meaningful
international sponsorship strategy that will include innovative and best practice standards and processes.
The successful candidate will have:
- demonstrated leadership skills as it pertains to direct and indirect reports;
- the ability to influence multiple stakeholders (internally and externally);
- passion for and effectiveness in building effective working relationships within cross-cultural
working groups.
International travel will be a requirement of this role as well as demonstrated professional judgement
and cultural sensitivity.
To qualify for this position you must also have:
- university degree in a related discipline (Business, Fundraising; Marketing; Communications)
- minimum of 5 years proven experience leading diverse teams in a customer service and/or call
centre environment;
- strategic ability to develop plans, systems and best practices;
- superior written and verbal communication skills including developing and making compelling
presentations
Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in International Development – Child
Sponsorship organizations combined with customer service (call centre). If you believe you have that
